To create 304H pipes with the appropriate mechanical qualities and dimensions, procedures including extrusion, welding, and heat treatment are used in the fabrication process. These pipes meet diverse design and engineering needs and come in a variety of shapes, including seamless and welded varieties. A versatile option for many industrial applications, 304H pipes are reasonably simple to mill and build despite its high-performance qualities. Grade 310 is well-known for its superior oxidation resistance and its capacity to tolerate temperatures as high as about 1100°C (2012°F). It is therefore perfect for use in kilns, furnaces, and other high-temperature settings. Its high concentration of nickel and chromium also guarantees strength and durability in challenging circumstances.
Similar high-temperature resistance is provided by grade 310S, a lower carbon variant of 310 with better formability and weldability. When oxidative conditions and high temperatures are present but welded structures are needed, it is frequently utilized. Because of the lower carbon concentration, carbide precipitation during welding is prevented, which would otherwise weaken the material.
